About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Molecular Genetics Intern to join our Research and Development Team located in Durham, NC. This is an 11-week paid internship program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in molecular genetics research and development. The intern will work on impactful projects, collaborate with experts, and contribute to innovation within the company. Requirements

Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or Biomedical Science
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly
Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
Ability to work both independently and with diverse team members
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program
