About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team located in Westborough, MA. This is an 11-week paid internship program designed for students to gain real-world experience in a global leader in laboratory services. Interns will be immersed in hands-on work that complements their academic background, gain exposure to Labcorp's global business, culture, and leadership, and participate in enterprise-wide learning experiences. The program includes leadership exposure, an in-person intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, and opportunities for professional development and networking. Interns will also connect with Labcorp's inclusive culture through employee resource groups and values-driven community initiatives, and receive dedicated mentoring.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program
• Interest in laboratory science
• Interest in diagnostics industry
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

• Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
