About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Research and Development - Molecular Intern to join our Research and Development Team located in Westborough, MA! This is an 11-week paid internship program designed for motivated students to work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience, all while supporting Labcorp's mission to improve health and improve lives. The internship will take place from June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027. The Research & Development team at Westborough designs and develops new molecular assays, evaluates novel technologies, provides technical expertise to other departments, validates assays for clinical regulatory submissions, and pursues research questions relevant to clinical diagnostic testing. Interns will be immersed in hands-on work that complements their academic background and will gain valuable exposure to Labcorp’s global business, culture, and leadership through enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, continuous connection opportunities, engagement with employee resource groups, and dedicated mentoring connections.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or Life Sciences
  • Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of a senior scientist on a project related to clinical molecular testing
  • Clearly and regularly document all experiments in detail in a laboratory notebook
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and data discussions
