About The Position

This role provides hands-on experience in community engagement, public awareness programs, regulatory compliance support, communications, event coordination, and stakeholder relations. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to support outreach efforts, maintain stakeholder records, coordinate events, and help strengthen relationships with landowners, emergency responders, and community stakeholders. Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Communications, Business, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, Public Affairs, or related degree program
Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing public awareness campaigns for landowners, emergency responders, and community stakeholders
Support the coordination of liaison meetings, community events, and educational outreach activities
Maintain records of stakeholder interactions and outreach activities to support compliance requirements
Contribute to the development of communication materials, presentations, and reports
Participate in cross-functional meetings with Operations, Land, Communications, and other business partners
Research industry best practices and regulatory developments related to public awareness programs
Provide administrative and logistical support for public awareness initiatives
Support stakeholder engagement activities and community outreach programs
