Intern - New Product Commercialization

Penn Engineering•Danboro, PA

About The Position

PennEngineering is seeking motivated, excited, and innovative students for a 2026 internship. Over the approximately 12-week internship, the intern will gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, collaborate with teams, work in manufacturing and research facilities, interact with company leaders about strategy and the future of PennEngineering, and support engineering projects in manufacturing, operations, or technology development. The intern will support the Danboro facility’s “PreMask” program by characterizing current chemistry across time, temperature, and cure; documenting percent cure and physical characteristics across a range of nut sizes; and recording findings in curves and job aids to support know-how transfer to PennEngineering locations in Asia and Europe. The intern will also characterize alternative raw material suppliers, fabricate and sample parts for customers as part of a launch program, and provide Design of Experiment assistance to the Galway facility’s “Houdini” program. The internship is expected to run 10–12 weeks, beginning November 9. Hours are 10–20 per week, not to exceed 20 hours, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
