About The Position

This internship supports the Financial Compliance and Procure-to-Pay teams with projects and daily tasks assigned by the Leadership Team. The role provides exposure to work associated with both functions. The position is based in Rochester, New York, with an additional location in Canandaigua, New York. The primary work environment is a professional corporate office. The stated salary range is $19.00–$29.50 per hour. Eligible employees may receive paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k).

Requirements

Undergraduate major in Accounting, Business, or Finance; preference for candidates who have completed three years of undergraduate studies.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Proficiency with personal computers and associated word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of basic accounting and finance.
Analytical skills, Excel skills, and attention to detail.
Initiative and results orientation.
Ability to build productive relationships.
Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations.

Nice To Haves

Completion of three years of undergraduate studies.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of state indirect tax filings, including direct-to-consumer excise tax reporting and sales and use tax filings.
Assist with state audits.
Perform travel and expense (T&E) and P-card audits according to company policies.
Assist with documentation of procedures and controls.
Support Compliance system administration.
Support responses to inquiries from internal and external customers.
Assist with government survey preparations.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
