About The Position

This internship supports the Financial Compliance and Procure-to-Pay teams with a range of projects and daily tasks. The intern will be exposed to work associated with each function, as assigned by the Leadership Team. The position is based in Rochester, New York, with Canandaigua, New York, listed as an additional location. The primary work environment is a professional corporate office. The hourly salary range is $19.00–$29.50. Pay within the range may depend on factors including location, education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, and business needs. Requirements

Undergraduate major in Accounting, Business, or Finance; preference for candidates who have completed three years of undergraduate studies.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of basic accounting and finance.
Analytical skills, Excel skills, and attention to detail.
Initiative and a results-oriented approach.
Ability to build productive relationships.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of state indirect tax filings, including direct-to-consumer excise tax reporting and sales and use tax filings.
Assist with state audits.
Perform travel and expense (T&E) and P-card audits according to company policies.
Assist with documentation of procedures and controls.
Assist with Compliance system administration support.
Support the team with responses to inquiries from internal and external customers.
Assist with government survey preparations.
Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
