Intern Diesel Mechanic (Paid)
About The Position
As a Service Technician Intern, you will learn about the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications. You will perform manual and maintenance tasks that support branch operations and provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics. The role offers opportunities to develop and challenge your skills, with the potential to pursue a Service Technician role in the Service Department after receiving a degree and/or certification. You will also provide exceptional customer service. This opportunity is intended for someone currently enrolled in or receiving certification from a technical school or program and preparing for full-time employment in an automotive, diesel, or other mechanical field. The position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and pursuing a technical degree or certification.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Self-motivated, with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
- Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
