About The Position

As a Service Technician Intern at United Rentals, you will learn about the equipment the company rents and its applications. You will learn manual and maintenance tasks that support branch operations and provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics. The role offers opportunities to develop toward service technician positions in the Service Department after obtaining a degree and/or certification. Interns are expected to provide exceptional customer service. This opportunity is intended for someone currently enrolled in or receiving certification from a technical school or program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated, with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications.
• Learn and perform manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers.
