About The Position

As a Service Technician Intern at United Rentals, you will learn about the types of equipment the company rents and their applications. You will perform manual and maintenance tasks supporting branch operations and provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics. The role offers an opportunity to develop toward service technician positions in the Service Department after receiving a degree and/or certification. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and currently pursuing a technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivation, a strong drive, and a sense of urgency.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the equipment United Rentals rents and its applications.
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics.
