Intern Diesel Mechanic (Paid)
About The Position
As a Service Technician Intern, you will learn about the types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications. You will learn manual and maintenance tasks that support branch operations and provide labor assistance to experienced mechanics. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service. The internship offers the potential to work toward a service technician role in the Service Department after receiving a degree and/or certification. It is intended as an opportunity for someone currently enrolled in or receiving certification from a technical school or program, and prepares the intern for full-time employment in an automotive, diesel, or other mechanical field.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Self-motivated, with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
