About The Position

The Interim Support Lead is a temporary member of the management team who supports the business during its busiest time of year or covers a management team member’s leave of absence. Reporting to the Store Manager, the role helps ensure customers have an outstanding shopping experience by supporting front-end operations, cash management, merchandising, cleanliness, safety, and sales. During assigned shifts, the Support Lead may serve as Manager on Duty and take responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues. This is an hourly position with a starting rate of $12.50.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 1 year of management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Creative thinking.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts, and travel as required.
Ability to identify and discern email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Frequently operate a cash register, computer, handheld device, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet.
Frequently climb and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
Frequently move across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room to assist customers and retrieve or put away merchandise.
Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

Ensure crew members provide customers with personal, welcoming service.
Train crew members on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience and help ensure fast, friendly checkout.
Help oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure effective performance and excellent customer service.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for efficient placement on the sales floor.
Act as Manager on Duty when needed, overseeing store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
Manage store opening or closing processes, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing for smooth operations.
Support associate onboarding and ongoing training on store policies, product knowledge, and operating procedures.
Drive sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
Perform store maintenance, including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.
Take on additional responsibilities as determined by the Store Manager based on store needs.
