About The Position

Cogir Senior Living manages retirement residences across the country, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Cogir Real Estate proudly manages Regency Retirement Resorts in British Columbia, including the new Regency Site in Kelowna, which provides a welcoming, dynamic environment. The Interim Active Living Manager, reporting to the General Manager, will be responsible for creating and overseeing diverse activities and social programs to enrich residents' lives and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere. Key responsibilities include developing engaging events, collaborating with community partners, motivating resident participation, coordinating with other departments, managing budgets, and ensuring quality standards. Additional duties involve producing communication materials, organizing transportation, hosting tours, and maintaining confidentiality and respect for residents' dignity. The role also supports employee orientation, contributes to special events, and aligns with organizational policies and goals. This position is for someone who loves having fun and creating genuine, deep, and meaningful relationships.

Requirements

  • Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the hospitality industry and/or the area of seniors living
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Creative and innovative
  • Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
  • Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions
  • Must be tactful, friendly, and patient
  • Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers

Nice To Haves

  • Serving it Right Class 4 driver’s license
  • Proficiency in digital tools and software, including Canva, Microsoft Office, and Publisher
