The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional clinical social work or marriage and family therapy services in support of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Duties include designing, developing, maintaining, implementing, and evaluating clinical services for the installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP). The role is responsible for case management activities from initial referral and treatment through case closure or transfer. The position also provides professional advisory services and training to other healthcare professionals, legal and investigative agencies, and other helping agencies, advancing initiatives that enhance resiliency and decrease maltreatment in military families and communities. The role requires independent work as a licensed clinical provider, utilizing advanced concepts, principles, procedures, practices, professional knowledge, and sound judgment to execute the clinical component of the FAP in accordance with program requirements and accepted standards of professional conduct. Crisis intervention services are performed independently to ensure the safety of and prevent further harm to victims of family maltreatment.
