About The Position

The Interconnection & MMR Manager, Central provides dedicated regional ownership for meet-me-room (MMR) operations, cross-connect delivery, access coordination, remediation, operational readiness, and records across assigned North American campuses. The role establishes a consistent operating model with technical validation, disciplined execution, and reliable handoffs among Customer Experience, Site Operations, Security, Construction, Legal, Procurement, carriers, and customers. The 2027 mandate is to establish Central-region MMR ownership, strengthen Texas coverage and readiness, improve cross-connect execution, and reduce geographic and workload pressure on the East and West MMR Managers. The position can be based on-site at Vantage’s office in San Antonio, Shackelford County, New Albany, or Port Washington, following a flexible work policy requiring three days on site and allowing two flexible days. It is based in the Central United States, primarily supporting Texas and developing Central campuses. Regular travel to assigned campuses and other North American locations is required, as is availability for an on-call or escalation rotation for critical interconnection issues. The role combines office-based work, remote coordination, and work within active data-center and construction environments. The employee may walk campuses, climb stairs or ladders, inspect racks and overhead or underfloor pathways, work around active critical infrastructure, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role. Vantage describes its culture as operating with “No Ego and No Arrogance,” building each other up, respecting individual strengths and weaknesses, and seeking opportunities for fun. The company says hard and efficient work is rewarded with an above-market total compensation package and offers health and welfare, retirement, and paid leave benefits exceeding local expectations, along with recognition, training, and development.

  • Coordinate diagnosis and resolution of MMR and interconnection issues with carriers, Site Operations, Network/IT teams, Security, and vendors.
  • Lead or support time-sensitive customer and carrier escalations, establish owners and recovery actions, and maintain clear stakeholder communications.
  • Document lessons learned, improve workflows, and contribute to scalable North American MMR governance, training, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in an on-call or escalation rotation for critical interconnection issues, as required by the operating model.
  • Establish an operating cadence, stakeholder map, and clear coverage and escalation paths for assigned Central campuses.
  • Complete baseline readiness and risk reviews for priority Texas and Central sites and maintain a prioritized remediation plan.
  • Improve consistency of cross-connect intake, validation, delivery, closure, and recordkeeping, including cycle time, ageing, and backlog.
  • Increase adoption of the approved MMR access workflow and reduce manual or exception-based requests.
  • Maintain complete and reliable MMR, carrier, cross-connect, and capacity records in designated systems of record.
