About The Position

Supports adults and youth with disabilities in employment programs under both the ACCES VR contract and OPWDD services. Helps individuals prepare, obtain, and maintain employment through a person-centered approach. Promotes a positive and productive team environment, working a flexible schedule to meet programmatic needs. Engages in community outreach, developing and nurturing collaborative relationships with local businesses, schools, and outside agencies (including ACCES-VR and OPWDD) to expand opportunities for community partnerships.

Requirements

Associates’ Degree in Human Services or related field
Two (2) years of experience working with adults and/or youth with various disabilities
A Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Dependable transportation
Ability to be positive and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor in the community.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to sites for community-based work experiences or employment.
Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and on the telephone.
Ability to understand, communicate and enforce regulations governing all vocational services.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field
Experience providing vocational support to individuals with disabilities.
Documentation of training, certifications and education demonstrating knowledge in the field (for applicants with Associates or Bachelor’s degree)
