About The Position

Supports adults and youth with disabilities in employment programs under both the ACCES VR contract and OPWDD services. Helps individuals prepare, obtain, and maintain employment using a person-centered approach. Promotes a positive and productive team environment, working a flexible schedule to meet programmatic needs. Engages in community outreach, developing and nurturing collaborative relationships with local businesses, schools, and outside agencies (including ACCES-VR and OPWDD) to expand community partnership opportunities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field
• Two (2) years of experience working with adults and/or youth with various disabilities
• A Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
• Dependable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to sites for community-based work experiences or employment.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and on the telephone.
• Ability to understand, communicate and enforce regulations governing all vocational services.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
• Experience providing vocational support to individuals with disabilities.
• Documentation of training, certifications and education demonstrating knowledge in the field (for those with Associate's or Bachelor's degrees).
