About The Position

Kanner & Pintaluga is hiring a Bilingual (English/Portuguese) Intake Specialist to serve as the initial point of contact between the Firm and potential clients. The specialist introduces prospective clients to the Firm’s services and assists them after they agree to retain the Firm. The role gathers, processes, and distributes client information to the appropriate departments. It requires comfort working in an office environment, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and coworkers.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Bilingual in English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Monitor and answer calls daily.
Answer clients’ questions and concerns regarding their claims.
Process new client files for personal injury and first-party matters.
Enter cases into the SmartAdvocate case management system.
Verify client information, including insurance, demographics, and facts of loss.
Assist with arranging meetings with field representatives or attorneys.
Notify attorneys and case managers of file assignments and time-sensitive tasks.
Follow up with pending leads until clients are retained by the Firm.
Communicate with doctors’ offices and help clients arrange initial appointments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
