About The Position

The Intake Specialist is the initial point of contact between Kanner & Pintaluga and potential clients. The role introduces clients to the Firm’s services and provides assistance after they agree to retain the Firm. The Intake Specialist gathers, processes, and distributes client information to the appropriate departments. The position requires comfort working in an office environment, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and coworkers.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Creole, or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Monitor and answer calls daily.
Answer clients’ questions and concerns regarding their claims.
Process new personal injury and first-party client files.
Enter cases into case management systems, including SmartAdvocate.
Verify client information, including insurance, demographics, and facts of loss.
Assist with arranging meetings with field representatives or attorneys.
Notify attorneys and case managers about file assignments and time-sensitive tasks.
Follow up with pending leads until clients are retained by the Firm.
Communicate with doctors’ offices and help clients arrange initial appointments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
