About The Position

Alert Communications is seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented, and dependable Part-Time Remote Intake Specialist to provide the first point of contact for people reaching out to partner law firms. The role involves conducting structured, empathetic intake interviews, evaluating and qualifying potential client inquiries, capturing accurate case details, and supporting a smooth onboarding experience. The specialist represents partner law firms and assists people who may be contacting them during stressful or life-changing situations.

Alert Communications has provided legal intake and communication solutions for over 40 years and supports more than 3,000 law firms and legal service providers across North America. The company operates 24/7/365 and combines technology with human interaction.

This remote position is limited to Texas residents and pays $16 per hour. Candidates must have a quiet, private, secure workspace; a high-speed fiber or cable internet connection meeting the stated speed requirements and connected directly by Ethernet; a compatible Windows computer; and a dedicated wired USB headset with microphone. The position includes part-time shifts, including at least one weekend day and assigned holidays.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in Texas.
• Ability to work part-time shifts, including at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and assigned holidays.
• Prior experience in customer service, call centers, client onboarding, sales, or hospitality.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to switch between software applications quickly.
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
• Active listening, high emotional intelligence, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and reliability.
• A quiet, fully private, secure workspace free of background noise and distractions during working hours.
• High-speed fiber or cable internet only, with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; Wi-Fi, cellular hotspots, DSL, satellite, and dial-up are not accepted.
• Internet connection must be direct via an Ethernet cable plugged into the modem or router; a speed test will be required during the interview process.
• Desktop PC or laptop running Windows 11 or higher with 1 GB of storage space; Apple/Mac products, Chromebooks, and tablets are not compatible.
• Dedicated wired USB headset with a microphone.

• Fluency in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Warmly answer incoming calls, live chats, and web inquiries on behalf of partner law firms.
• Conduct structured legal intake interviews to gather case details, screen leads against firm-specific criteria, and assess client needs.
• Log call notes, complete digital intake questionnaires, and record details accurately and quickly across multiple software platforms.
• Navigate multiple computer systems, software applications, and script databases while maintaining an engaging call presence.
• Represent partner law firms professionally as an extension of their teams.
