Part-Time Remote Intake Specialist (Legal Services) - AZ
About The Position
Alert Communications is seeking empathetic, detail-oriented, and dependable professionals to join its team as part-time remote Intake Specialists. The role serves as an initial point of contact for people reaching out to law firms, often during stressful or life-changing situations. The specialist conducts structured, empathetic intake interviews, evaluates and qualifies potential client inquiries, captures accurate case details, and helps provide a seamless onboarding experience. The position is remote and limited to Arizona residents, excluding Flagstaff. Part-time shifts are available, with a requirement to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and assigned holidays. The pay rate is $16 per hour. Candidates must have a quiet, fully private and secure workspace; a high-speed fiber or cable internet connection meeting minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, connected directly by Ethernet; a Windows 11-or-higher desktop PC or laptop with 1 GB of storage space; and a dedicated wired USB headset with a microphone. Wi-Fi, cellular hotspots, DSL, satellite, and dial-up are not accepted, and Apple/Mac products, Chromebooks, and tablets are not compatible.
Requirements
- Currently reside in Arizona, excluding Flagstaff.
- Be able to work part-time shifts, including at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and assigned holidays.
- Have prior experience in customer service, call centers, client onboarding, sales, or hospitality.
- Have strong computer literacy and the ability to switch quickly between software applications.
- Have a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
- Demonstrate active listening, high emotional intelligence, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and reliability.
- Maintain a quiet, fully private, secure workspace free of background noise and distractions during working hours.
- Have a high-speed fiber or cable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; connect directly to the modem or router with an Ethernet cable.
- Have a Windows 11-or-higher desktop PC or laptop with 1 GB of storage space; Apple/Mac products, Chromebooks, and tablets are not compatible.
- Use a dedicated wired USB headset with a microphone.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, live chats, and web inquiries on behalf of partner law firms with professionalism and empathy.
- Conduct structured legal intake interviews, gather key case details, screen leads using firm-specific criteria, and assess client needs.
- Log call notes, complete digital intake questionnaires, and record details across multiple software platforms accurately and quickly.
- Navigate multiple computer systems, software applications, and script databases while maintaining an engaging call presence.
- Represent partner law firms professionally as an extension of their teams.
