Intake Coordinator - Fort Worth, TX
About The Position
Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, referred to as an “Infusion Guide,” to coordinate infusion referrals and intake and provide excellent service to patients and referring providers. The role contributes to the company’s growth and helps ensure patients receive a high level of infusion therapy care. The position is full-time and onsite at the Fort Worth, Texas center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The starting salary is $25 per hour, with a quarterly bonus based on metrics and full benefits. The company provides a dedicated six-week training plan. The position is suited to someone with healthcare experience, especially experience reading medical charts and handling insurance prior authorizations.
Requirements
- Healthcare experience is required.
- Experience with insurance prior authorizations is required.
- Experience with medical terminology.
- Overall medical insurance experience.
- Experience and strong familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Current BLS certification.
- Documentation of a negative TB test from within the last two years.

Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
- Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment and communicate the status of their patients.
- Communicate the referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
- Communicate openly with referring and prescribing providers.
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
