About The Position

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, called an “Infusion Guide,” to support its mission of improving specialty infusion care. The role contributes to company growth through detailed referral and intake coordination and excellent service to patients and referring providers. The coordinator helps ensure patients receive a high level of care throughout the infusion process.

This is a full-time, onsite position at Local Infusion’s center in Mason, Ohio, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ideal candidate has experience reading medical charts and working on insurance pre-authorizations. The role offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload. Starting pay is $25 per hour, with a quarterly bonus based on metrics and full benefits. A dedicated six-week training plan is provided.

Requirements

• Passion for patient care and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• Healthcare experience.
• Experience with insurance prior authorizations.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly learn new apps.
• Experience and strong familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide documentation of a negative TB test from within the last two years.
• Hold a current BLS certification.

• Prior experience in infusion.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation needed for treatment and communicate patient status.
• Communicate the referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Communicate openly with referring and prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
