Insurance Sales Representative - Customer Service
About The Position
The Insurance Sales Representative is primarily responsible for selling nonstandard auto insurance to new and existing customers. The role involves generating and maintaining business, building customer relationships, advising customers on suitable products, and accurately handling currency transactions and bank deposits. The position offers a base pay range of $12–$18 per hour, an opportunity for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000, and uncapped commissions. The employer provides paid training and licensing, ongoing training and mentorship, and opportunities for career advancement.
Requirements
- Sales or customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to build relationships with sales customers.
- Excellent follow-up and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ambitious and motivated by opportunities for advancement.
Nice To Haves
- Personal Lines or Property and Casualty license; preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Solicit new business and maintain current business levels to achieve or exceed sales production goals.
- Build relationships with existing customers to expand business and meet production goals.
- Accurately account for currency transactions and deliver deposits to the bank on time, with scanned documentation in the agency management system.
- Build client relationships quickly and educate and advise customers on products that fit their needs.
