About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Insurance Producer to help educators address financial challenges through tailored insurance and financial solutions. The role offers mentorship from an experienced agent, hands-on industry experience, training, and access to products designed for educators. Producers can leverage established books of business while building their own practice, with value-added services, networking opportunities, and a multi-line product portfolio.

This is a performance-based 1099 opportunity with commissions, incentives, and bonuses. Producers may work in the field, in person, and/or from an office setting; there is no external office requirement. A mentor agent provides guidance and accountability to support the producer’s success.

Requirements

• Self-motivation and ability to manage one’s own business.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold state Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses.

• Present and explain products to potential clients, both one-on-one and in large groups.
• Participate in community and networking events to expand professional connections.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply new knowledge to help clients.
• Cultivate market relationships and build a client base.
• Invest time and resources in the success and growth of the producer’s business.
