About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Insurance Producer to serve educators with insurance and financial solutions tailored to their needs. The producer receives mentorship from an experienced agent and hands-on industry experience, supported by training, a multi-line product portfolio, and sales resources. The role involves building and managing an independent business, cultivating a client base, and helping educators pursue financial security. Work may be conducted in person, in the field, and/or from an office setting. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with enhanced commissions and a 36-month incentive plan. The plan includes monthly incentives based on sales volume and quarterly production bonuses during the first 36 months. Additional compensation opportunities include a sign-on bonus, uncapped commissions, structured incentive and bonus pay, and potential all-expenses-paid trips for top performers. A mentor agent provides guidance and support.

Ability to obtain or currently hold state Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses.
