About The Position

The Insurance Producer is responsible for assessing client risk exposure on personal and/or commercial property, making appropriate recommendations, and placing coverage to address those risks. This role involves actively marketing and selling personal lines insurance policies, fostering referral relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

Requirements

Two years’ successful personal lines insurance sales experience.
Excellent sales and marketing skills.
Working knowledge of insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, markets and applicable insurance laws/codes.
Working knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Excellent automation, time management, and organizational skills.
Appropriate state agent/broker personal lines insurance license.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of real estate, title, and/or mortgage businesses preferred.

Responsibilities

Market and sell personal lines insurance policies.
Proactively contact all leads to recommend appropriate insurance, quote and place coverage.
Identify and assess client risk exposures.
Foster referral relationships with real estate personnel (agents, office managers, mortgage brokers) to maximize sales opportunities.
Provide work direction to new business specialists to ensure timely and proper client on-boarding.
Actively monitor and report to management any circumstances that may lead to potential or actual insurance errors and omissions claims, DOI complaints, or related issues.
Remain current on industry trends and specific carrier underwriting requirements.
Follow all company procedures and processing guidelines.
Ensure license remains current, including taking CEUs as needed.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
