About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Insurance Producer to help educators address financial challenges through tailored insurance and financial solutions. The producer receives mentorship from an experienced agent, hands-on industry experience, training, and access to products designed for educators. The role offers a performance-based 1099 compensation structure, including enhanced commissions and incentives during the first 36 months, and the opportunity to build a business using established books of business, a niche market, value-added services, and a multi-line product portfolio. The producer builds and maintains a client base by presenting products to individuals and groups, participating in community and networking events, staying current on industry trends, and investing time and resources in business growth. Work may take place in person, in the field, and/or from an office setting. A mentor agent provides guidance and support.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Self-motivation and ability to manage an independent business.
Ability to obtain or currently hold state Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses.
