About The Position

The Placement Specialist is responsible for placing new business and managing renewals for EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants’ Northeast Construction & Surety Practice. The role works closely with internal stakeholders—including producers, account managers, and other team members—and external contacts such as underwriters, brokers, and insureds. It requires knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, with particular priority given to candidates experienced in the New York construction sector.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in commercial insurance, focused on renewals and new business.
In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, particularly in the New York construction sector.
Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare new-business submissions, work with carriers and wholesalers, secure quotes, and prepare proposals for Producers to present to prospects.
Oversee renewal processes for assigned remarketing efforts, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Collaborate with producers, account managers, and other team members to achieve business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and brokers.
Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
Use negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of commercial insurance coverages.
