About The Position

The Placement Specialist is responsible for placing new business and managing renewals for EPIC’s Northeast Construction & Surety Practice. The role works with internal stakeholders, including producers, account managers, and other team members, as well as external contacts such as underwriters and insureds. It includes preparing submissions, obtaining quotes, preparing proposals, managing assigned renewal remarketing efforts, and building relationships with clients and partners. The position requires commercial insurance expertise, with priority given to candidates experienced in the New York construction sector.

Requirements

3–5 years of commercial insurance experience, focused on renewals and new business.
In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, particularly within the New York construction sector.
Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred.
Experience in the New York construction insurance space is given priority.

Responsibilities

Prepare new-business submissions, work with carriers and wholesalers, secure quotes, and prepare proposals for Producers to present to prospects.
Oversee assigned renewal and remarketing efforts, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Collaborate with producers, account managers, and other team members to achieve business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and brokers.
Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
Negotiate to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Apply a thorough understanding of commercial insurance coverages, particularly in the New York construction space.
