About The Position
Lewis Brisbois’s Atlanta, Georgia office is seeking a senior associate or partner to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The practice interprets contracts and represents insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies, with experience across virtually every line of business.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience providing coverage opinions; the posting describes an ideal experience range of eight to fifteen years.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Experience litigating extra-contractual and bad faith claims.
- Admission to the Georgia Bar is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage opinions on matters including bad faith claims, disclaimers of coverage, coverage allocation, and policy interpretation.
- Litigate extra-contractual and bad faith claims.
- Represent insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation.
