About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent in Lacey, Washington. The agent will build and manage an agency serving educators, helping them find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The role involves developing market access and relationships, presenting products to groups and individuals, and participating in networking, community, and industry events. The agent is responsible for investing the time and resources needed to build a successful long-term business. Horace Mann offers an exclusive niche and defined territory with no overlap with other agents, performance-based 1099 compensation, and an industry-leading 48-month incentive package with activity- and success-based incentives and quarterly production incentives. A dedicated Service Representative handles client service work so the agent can focus on building the business. The company also provides technology, ongoing training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong business management skills.
Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
