About The Position

A company built to serve you. It's your career, Shelter it! We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to make a difference in Amory, MS and become our newest Shelter Insurance Agent. This role is for individuals who have a desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, and become known in their community. It's an opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business without extreme start-up costs. Shelter Insurance does not require previous experience in the insurance industry, with many agents coming from backgrounds in real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. What is required is a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the capacity to effectively communicate with clients in a sales atmosphere. While sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, the company provides comprehensive training. Shelter does not require prospective agents to have capital/assets on hand, nor do they sell or loan money to agents to begin their business. The only expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Financial responsibilities are limited to unsatisfied bills owed upon departure. A true business owner’s mindset is required to succeed. While developing prospects and selling Shelter products will be the main focus, there is an opportunity to bring on staff for administrative duties and sales support. This is an opportunity for those with a strong desire to be a business owner, a passion for helping people, and a desire to work for a company that strives to be a leader in its communities. Shelter has one of the top new-agent programs in the insurance industry, and with commitment to hard work, they can help launch an insurance sales career.
