About The Position
Pianists in this position accompany students, on an as needed basis, in lessons, rehearsals, studio classes, recitals, recording projects and juries. This is an at-will, part time staff position.
Requirements
- Strong piano skills and pianistic facility
- Good sight reading skills and ability to prepare music quickly
- A desire to collaborate
- Responsive communication skills
- Highly organized and collaborative nature
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the repertoire of at least one instrumental family
- Ability to be artistically responsive to the student performer
- Flexible schedule, with the ability to work on evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Prepare repertoire for successful collaboration with students
- Clearly communicate availability and work with students and faculty to plan rehearsals and performances
- Reserve spaces, as needed, for rehearsals with students in preparation for upcoming performances.
