About The Position
Goodwin University Magnet Schools has one full-time, immediate opening for an enthusiastic Music/Instrumental Teacher serving Riverside Elementary Magnet School and the CT River Academy middle school program in East Hartford, Connecticut. The position is for the 2026–27 school year. Both schools have robust music programs and emphasize collaborative learning, project-based instruction, and academic excellence. The teacher will join a dynamic team of educators and instruct students from diverse backgrounds and interests in urban and suburban settings. The successful candidate should demonstrate an appreciation for multicultural education and strong interpersonal skills. Music certification (049) is required.
Requirements

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A strong desire to teach music and work with students from urban and suburban settings.
- Understanding of and appreciation for multicultural education.
- Four-year degree, as indicated in the job details.
Responsibilities
- Teach music, with an instrumental focus, to students at both schools.
- Motivate and instruct students from diverse backgrounds and interests.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the schools’ educator team.
