This will be a part-time position: Mondays at Union, Thursdays at Anson. Pick up another day at Union. The Instrument Technician Certified role involves adhering to safety standards, identifying and responding to malfunctions and alarms, and performing efficacy and quality testing for all processes and equipment. Responsibilities include manual and mechanical cleaning of various types of instrumentation according to manufacturer instructions, performing flexible scope processing with High Level Disinfection (HLD), and determining, preparing, and using necessary supplies for the assembly process. The technician will also identify, inspect, and assemble general and specialty instruments, checking for cleanliness and functionality using count sheets, and packaging and labeling instrumentation according to standards. Additionally, the role requires safely determining sterilization equipment functionality, operation, monitoring, and maintenance, with verification and documentation of the sterilization process, including high temperature (steam) and low temperature sterilization methods.
