About The Position

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is recruiting part-time faculty for its English department. Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty support the colleges’ and District’s visions, missions, and values. Responsibilities relate to classroom assignments, student evaluation, curriculum, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific needs. Assignments and work hours vary. Applications are retained in the pool for one year, and candidates may be contacted for interviews as needed. The anticipated start date is Spring 2027.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition; OR a bachelor’s degree in one of those fields and a master’s degree in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing, or journalism; OR equivalent qualifications.
• Applicants seeking equivalency must submit the required Equivalency Determination Form and equivalency materials.
• Employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance.
• New employees must provide acceptable proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States.
