About The Position
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is recruiting part-time Arabic faculty for its World Languages department. Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty support the colleges’ and District’s visions, missions, and values. Responsibilities relate to classroom assignments, student evaluation, curriculum, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific needs. The District recruits for part-time faculty positions year-round and keeps applications in the pool for one year, contacting candidates for interviews as needed. The position’s work hours vary based on assignment, and the anticipated start date is Spring 2027. The stated starting salary range is $70.84–$86.11 (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule. Faculty positions may involve long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting; conditions may vary by subject taught.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Arabic; OR bachelor's degree in Arabic and master's degree in another language or linguistics; OR equivalent qualifications.
- Applicants seeking equivalency must submit an Equivalency Determination Form and supporting equivalency materials.
