About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course Mental Health, Psychopathology and Forensic Psychology. The compensation for the role is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally), effective September 1, 2026. Instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.

Requirements

  • PhD in Psychology or related discipline. Doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
  • Experience in teaching psychopathology, mental health and material related to forensic psychology.
  • Recent experience teaching or as a teaching assistant in FPAC 2P25 or equivalent.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
