About The Position

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Oregon is inviting applications for its open instructor pool. Instructional opportunities include mainly introductory courses, covering the fundamentals of computer science, web programming, problem solving, and more. Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years, based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching and/or practical experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory courses in computer science, covering fundamentals, web programming, and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
