About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course Women, Gender and the Economy (WGST 2P86) for the Fall D2 term. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. This course is offered online. Requirements

Ph.D. in Women’s Studies or related area with demonstrated university training in Women’s Studies and/or Feminist Theory/Methods and/or Feminist Issues (i.e. course work, dissertation topic)
Demonstrable, substantive interdisciplinary training
Demonstrated successful university teaching experience (i.e. course instructor, teaching assistant) in Women’s Studies and/or Feminist Theory/Methods and/or Feminist Issues
Demonstrated research in Women’s Studies and/or Feminist Theory/Methods and/or Feminist Issues (i.e. thesis research, publications, conference presentations, community-based projects/action relevant to the study of women’s lives from sociocultural, political, institutional, theoretical, historical, philosophical and/or literary perspectives)
