About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for Introduction to Global Politics (POLI 2P20) for the Fall D2 term. This course focuses on the concepts, theories, and evolution of global politics, including international law and institutions, war and terrorism, international development and post-colonialism, regional politics, and globalization. The instructor will be responsible for scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • PhD in political science concentrating in international relations with evidence of active research interest and teaching experience related to global politics.
  • Doctoral candidates concentrating in international relations and engaged in thesis research in same areas of study, with coursework and comprehensive exams complete, and proven teaching experience, will also be considered.
  • Evidence of successful experience in teaching.
