About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for the course PHIL 3P92 Hermeneutics within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, and handling grade appeals and academic dishonesty cases, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Philosophy with a demonstrated specialization in 20th-century European Continental Philosophy.
  • Evidence of recent, competent and effective teaching experience in Philosophy at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and online teaching technology (e.g., Sakai, MS Teams, MS Streams, etc.) skills.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Philosophy.
