About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course Work, Labour, and Artificial Intelligence. The compensation for the role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

  • PhD in LABR or related discipline. If there are no qualified applicants, senior doctoral candidates will be considered.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Work, Labour, and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
  • Cover letter and a current resume.
  • All required documentation must be included, including letters of reference and course/performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduled contact time with students
  • Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.
