Instructor ITAL 1F00 Fall/Winter D1 (Section 3)
About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for Introductory Italian ITAL 1F00 D1 LEC Section 3, a face-to-face course delivery for the Fall/Winter term. This position involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, and working closely with the Italian Studies Program Coordinator. The compensation for this half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- Graduate Degree (PhD, PhD abd) in an area of Italian studies
- Record of sustained successful teaching language courses in Italian at University level
- Native or near native fluency in English and Italian
- Evidence of competence in second-year language courses in Italian at the University level
- Official student and peer evaluations
- Teaching dossier
- References
- Competence in the use of email, Brightspace, internet, common office software (e.g. Word, Excel) and multi-media equipment
- Commitment to responsible time management

Responsibilities
