About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the course ADM 1P10 Introduction to Media Tools. This is an in-person course scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 1300 to 1500 during the Fall term (September to December 2026). The compensation for this full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- MA, MFA or the equivalent in a media arts or other relevant area of study.
- Minimum three years of successful sustained teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in new media concepts and applications, such as those for image editing, web development, interactive games, animation, video and sound editing.
- Demonstrated teaching competence through previous course evaluations and three academic references.
