About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for GEOG 1P11 - Our Environment: Landscapes, Soils, and Water for the Fall D2 term. This is an in-person course delivery. The compensation for this position is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or ABD in Geography preferred, although applicants holding a Masters Degree are also welcome to apply.
- Specialization in Physical Geography (Geomorphology, Hydrology, and/or Soil Science)
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience in Physical Geography
- Demonstrated success teaching large university courses
