About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course ECON 1P91 - PRINCIPLES OF MICROECONOMICS. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.

Requirements

  • A PhD or ABD in Economics or MA in Economics with teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
