About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CPCF 1F25: Media and Culture: Texts and Practices for the Fall/Winter 2025 academic term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,471.08 and for a full course is $14,942.17, effective September 1, 2024. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, and handling grade appeals and academic dishonesty cases, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • PhD in Film Studies, Media Studies or Communication Studies
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in the area of communication, popular culture and film at the university level
  • Expertise in online pedagogy
  • Expertise in the use of learning management systems
