About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CHEM 2P21 Winter D3. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty. The compensation effective September 1, 2026, is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry or related discipline. Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of (discipline).
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
